Residents who wish to sit for an initial certification examination through the ABPN must first confirm that their demographic, rotations and clinical skills evaluation information is entered and attested to in the ABPN preCERT® Credentialing System. All information must be entered and attested to shortly after graduation by a training program director and/or coordinator. With this complete, electronic submission of an application for a certification examination can be completed through the ABPN Physician Portal.
Applicants need to activate an ABPN Physician Portal account to apply for initial certification. Follow the prompts to activate your personal account and to apply for a Board Certification exam.
